So next we will have sold our selves to the dutch, returning to before 1954, and still remain with an unpayable debt for ever and ever. He even acccepted and signed for an overseer knowing that this will be for eternity. Afluisterwetgeving in Nederland

Artikel 139 van het Wetboek van Strafrecht verbiedt het opzettelijk afluisteren van gesprekken met een technisch hulpmiddel, zonder toestemming van één van de deelnemers aan dat gesprek. Dat geldt zowel voor gesprekken binnen- en buitenshuis als voor communicatie over de telefoon.
De bevoegdheid tot afluisteren is geregeld bij wijze van uitzondering op dit verbod. De politie mag een gesprek dat gevoerd wordt in een 'woning, besloten lokaal of erf' of in openbare ruimtes niet afluisteren of opnemen. Concreet betekent dit dat de politie (nog) niet met richtmicrofoons en verstopte microfoontjes rond huizen mag werken, tenzij dus één van de deelnemers aan het gesprek daarvoor toestemming heeft gegeven. Dit gebeurt bijvoorbeeld bij infiltratie en pseudokoop.
Daarnaast mag de politie de telefoon afluisteren wanneer er een gerechtelijk vooronderzoek tegen iemand is geopend die verdacht wordt van een feit waarvoor minstens vier jaar hechtenis staat. Een dergelijk gerechtelijk vooronderzoek mag zowel op een bekende als een onbekende geopend worden. Daartoe kan de politie de PTT verplichten tot medewerking aan het aftappen van verdachten. Op eigen initiatief mag de PTT alleen telefoongesprekken afluisteren om technische redenen, bijvoorbeeld om storingen te verhelpen.
De Binnenlandse Veiligheidsdienst BVD kan met toestemming van de minister-president en de ministers van binnenlandse zaken en justitie binnens- en buitenshuis gesprekken afluisteren wanneer de veiligheid van de staat dat vereist. Voor telefoontaps door de BVD is ook nog toestemming van de minister van Verkeer en Waterstaat nodig. De BVD is dus gerechtigd om met richtmicrofoons en 'bugs' te werken.
De wetgeving over afluisteren is de laatste tijd aan veel veranderingen onderhevig. Een groot probleem is dat de wetgever de snelle ontwikkelingen op technisch gebied maar nauwelijks bij kan houden.

Prensa Latina: Venezuela has rejected a US State Department report criticizing its anti drug policy and disqualified Washington's right to certify or de-certify other countries.

News reports and judgments made without sufficient information have created no little confusion. There have been very divergent reactions ranging from joyful acceptance to harsh opposition, about a plan whose contents were in reality unknown.

This document was most directly opposed on account of two fears, which I would like to address somewhat more closely in this letter.

Just how is this done?

When transnational corporations open a manufacturing plant or factory in a third world country, they ask those who seek employment, so sign a document, which seems innocent enough, but the conditions in it are tantamount to highway robbery.

The clause in the agreement being signed cover every aspect of your life, not just in the place that you are employed in, but also what you come up with in your life outside of your place of work. By signing the document, you give up all rights to anything that you invent or discover to your employer. Now one can well understand if what you invent is related to your place of work, it would be considered a reasonable request, but that is not the case at all.

Dutch Antilles want to be the bridge between Europe and Latin America

Caracas, Aug 07, ABN (Tessa Marsman).-The Dutch Antilles want to make use of its position at the coastline of the Latin American continent and its political position as part of the Dutch kingdom in order to form an economical and political bridge between Europe and Latin America.

«We are part of the Carribean, but we are also part of European constallations», said Glenn Sulvaran, President of the Antillian governing party PAR and a member of the Antillian parliament, in an interview with the Agencia Bolivariana de Noticias

«We can participate in the Latin American economical block the Mercosur but also in the European Union. This position is unique», he explained in the interview last Friday on the the sixth Latin American and Carribean Social Forum helt in Caracas

For a while now, a fundamental discussion is going on between the Antilles and the Netherlands on the way the Antilles can participate in the Latin American blocks and Holland can take advantage of this participation. One of the obstacles is the anti globalization movement from the socialist Latin American countries.

Sulivan does not see this idiology as a problem. «If there are developments within our region, I think we should participate, just like when there are developments within Europe.»

Even though Antilles foreign affairs and defence are following the line of the Dutch kingdom, «at the same time we are also trying to enter Caricom and the OAS (Organization of American States)», says the Antillian member of Parliament. Caricon is a cooperation treaty between most of the carribean islands.

«With an Antillian participation in Mercosur and the Alba, Dutch and industies or services from other European countries can start a seat on the Antilles and trade their products against the internal trait fares».

The Mescosur as well as the Alba are economiscal and political blocks between several South American countries.

Economical and political participation
«Cooperation, however, does not only evolves around economy», says Sulvaran. «It also deals with the behaviour of people, about the socialization process. A participation also takes place on the political level».

The Antilles deal with an increasing polution. It is one of the biggest menaces of tourism, the mayor sources of income. By participating in the cooperation in Latin Americas treaties it hopes to find a solution to this transbordering problem

«We have to make a choice on how to manage natural recources and how to make the people of the Antilles participate in finding a solution», says Sulvaren. «It is an important discussion. Changes can only be carried through if the initiative comes from the people».

VENEZUELA’S “BOLIVARIAN Revolution” is moving ahead fast. President Hugo Chávez’s government, which began in 1999 with an attempt to implement Tony Blair’s “third way,” now aims to build “socialism for the twenty-first century.” Revenues from the state oil company, PDVSA, have funded vast increases in social spending. Targeted outreach to the poor via government “missions” have largely bypassed the old state structures and have achieved spectacular results.

These include a reduction of poverty from 55 percent of the population to 34 percent as the share of gross domestic product (GDP) on social spending has increased from 7.83 percent to 14.69 percent; the achievement of literacy for 1.5 million adults; the virtual elimination of hunger through subsidized grocery stores that service 13 million people; medical care provided by Cuban doctors via free clinics in slums, reaching 18 million people, nearly 70 percent of the population; access to higher education for the poor and working class; and special affirmative action programs for indigenous people.¹ The minimum wage is now the highest in Latin America at $286 per month, and the workweek is to be shortened from forty to thirty-six hours by 2010.² Land reform has shifted 8.8 million acres to impoverished families, more than half of that from private owners.³ Government seed money has increased the number of cooperative enterprises from fewer than 800 to 181,000 to try and provide more stable employment for the approximately half of Venezuelan workers who toil in the informal sector of the economy.⁴
